Zoomer – Training and Tricks

On this page we let you know all the cool standard tricks Zoomer is capable of doing.  You can read our full review here to give you an overview of Zoomer the robot dog:

Zoomer itself is not difficult use and comes with  a list of commands that you can train your dog to perform and through some trial and error the dog will learn (as a real dog will learn) how to perform these commands.

You will need some time and patience to get the commands right, but when you do the fun really starts and you’ll forget more and more that this is a toy and not a real dog.

How to get started?

His inbuilt batteries will need charging first. Watch the following video to see how to do that. The battery takes about an hour to fully charge and then you can play for about 20 to 40 minutes without recharging.

The easiest trick

By simply touching your dog’s head you are able to command the dog. Usually this works the first time you request, but there were some times in my experience where you had to ask more than once.

First Tricks

Some tricks are already programmed. So, when Zoommer is in trick mode he’ll show you what he can already do at random.

Train Zoomer

Just like with a real dog, you will have to train Zoomer and that will require a number of repetitions.

1. Have a look at the Training Guide Zoomer comes with. There you get the command and pictures what it should look like when Zoomer does the trick.

2. Tap on his head so it bends down and does a little nod. That’s Zoomers signal that you are about to give him a command, (you’ll notice little question markss in his LED eyes) OR

2. Call his name to get his attention and then teach him a trick. Sometimes he’ll obey right away, other times he won’t just like a real dog. but, the more you play the better he’ll become.

CLICK HERE to watch a VIDEO DEMONSTRATION (at about 6 min into the video) and see how easy it is to train Zoomer.

If you and your family enjoy technology, or simply love dogs, this is a great gift for any youngster. Just keep in mind that unless you simply have it in the mode to do tricks, you do have to take the time to train your dog to do the tricks that you want it to do.

My family had a blast playing with this and yours will too!”
